For the dough:
For the filling, put all the ingredients in a pot and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated and it has a jam-like texture. Allow to cool.
For the dough, mix all the ingredients in a bowl until forming a dough and let it set for 5 minutes. Preheat the oven to 360°F.
Split the dough into 3 portions. With two parts, make the base by putting the dough on a greased oven tray or baking pan, pressing well, and bake for 7 minutes.
Take the base out of the oven, add the cherry filling, and place the remaining dough irregularly on top, pressing with your hands. Put back in the oven for 20-25 more minutes or until cooked and brown on top.
Take out of the oven and allow to cool before cutting.
