Ingredients

  • Hake fillets
  • 1 tbsp coriander, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 oz panko
  • 2 cups vegetable oil

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger

Preparation

Cut 8 pieces of hake into sticks of about 2 oz each. Season with the minced coriander, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Then roll them through flour, beaten egg, and finally panko.

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the sticks until brown. Set on a paper towel.

For the sauce:
First put the soy sauce, sugar, and grated ginger in a pot. Once the sugar has dissolved, add the berries and wait until they boil for 3 minutes. Set aside.

To serve, put the fish sticks on a plate and the berry dipping sauce in a separate bowl.
