BERRY CRUMBLE

Ingredients

FOR THE TOPPING:

  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 + 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice

FOR THE FILLING:

  • 2.2 lb pears or peaches, peeled
  • 2 cup blackberries, blueberries or raspberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch, the juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 pinch of powdered cinnamon

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 390°F. Mix all fruit in a bowl along with the sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and cinnamon.

Allow to rest for 15 minutes and put the mixture in an oven-safe dish.

Make crumbs with all the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the fruit.

Bake for 50 minutes or until the crust is brown and the filling is bubbling. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
