Our subsidiary in Peru was mentioned in a news portal of that country for its contribution to the community through the programs “¡Que Maestro!” and “Sinfonia por el Peru”, in Nuevo Chao, which contribute to the education and comprehensive skill development of about 5,000 children and young people from the communities around their operations in the Viru province, La Libertad.
Through these initiatives, we promote a comprehensive teacher training for the benefit of local education, as well as citizen training and skill development through choral signing and instrumental performance.
“In addition to creating new formal work positions and overseeing the compliance with biosafety measures by our workers, we are a company committed to the communities to which we are related, and specially to childhood development, which is why we have been strengthening our Education and Culture pillars. The pandemic did not prevent us from supporting these programs and we will continue to do so, encouraging more children and young people to develop their talent and skills”, said Juan Luis Lazarte, Human Resources and Sustainability Manager at Hortifrut Peru.
