Hortifrut Peru, in compliance with the provisions in the Annual Occupational Health Plan, adopted preventive measures such as vaccination campaigns, conducted in different areas of the company, and was supported by the Ministry of Health, EsSalud from the Viru province, and the Health Services area staff.
The vaccination campaigns were conducted in two dates. The first one was conducted on May 21 at the Chao farm and plant, where the staff was vaccinated against diphtheria and tetanus. The second one was conducted on June 9 at the Chao farm, where vaccines against diphtheria, tetanus, and hepatitis B were administered. It is worth noting that the staff with critical positions was prioritized, without excluding the other areas. 221 workers were vaccinated in both days.
